Earlier this evening in Nablus, a startling incident unfolded as a suspicious object, later identified as an explosive device, was discovered. The device was taken to the local police station where it detonated, injuring a Palestinian officer. According to reports, two other police officers were also seriously wounded in the blast.

The incident began when authorities attempted to dismantle the explosive at the police station, but an unexpected malfunction led to its detonation. Such occurrences involving explosive devices are not uncommon in Nablus, particularly in areas like the local Kasbah, where terrorist elements are known to manufacture weapons, including explosives used in targeted attacks against security forces.

Earlier this year, Israeli forces successfully neutralized numerous explosive devices found in locations across Nablus, including a café in the Kasbah, totalling approximately 200 devices according to IDF reports.
