86,933 dunams burned in the north, in large part due to Hezbollah attacks

The Israel Nature and Parks Authority issued a statement today (Thursday), per which some 86,933 dunams of territory have been burned in the north compared to around just 27,000 last year, largely due to the war and Hezbollah projectile hits.

These numbers include multiple natural reserves and do not include fires which took place this week, including today.

The fires have strained the resources of Fire and Rescue Services and required multiple efforts to contain the blazes. The Nature and Parks Authority has itself contributed manpower to aid in this effort.
