Israel-Gaza War, Humanitarian Aid

Israel delivers 5,580 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza on Monday alone despite claims of "starvation"

Despite mainstream media claiming that Israel is "starving" the Gaza Strip, thousands of tons of food and medical supplies are delivered daily with 50%-60% of it being stolen by Hamas or other armed gangs.

Israeli army spokesman Avi Hyman told reporters on Tuesday that, “Yesterday alone, 4,160 tons of food were transferred to Gaza. 5,580 tons of humanitarian aid was transferred including: food, water, medical supplies, and shelter equipment.

“We say again: there is no limit to the amount of aid that can enter Gaza. This morning we sent 50 incubators designed for hospitals in the northern and southern Gaza Strip. Yesterday, four tankers of cooking gas and three tankers of fuel went into Gaza," he added.

Despite media reports of a "humanitarian crisis" and "mass starvation" since the beginning of the IDF's operation in the Strip, thousands of meals as well as medical supplies and fuel are transferred to Gaza on a daily basis. This comes as dozens of Israelis, including relatives of hostages held by Hamas, continue protesting at the Erez Crossing and Kerem Shalom in an attempt to dissuade the government from providing aid to Gaza while their loved ones remain in Hamas captivity.

The Times of Israel mentioned that the reason for a food shortage in the Strip has to do with the fact that: “almost all (aid trucks) are cleaned out before they make it to (northern Gaza)." Israeli sources noted that at least 50%-60% of aid provided to Gaza is stolen by Hamas or other armed gangs before arriving at their destination.
