In a joint operation by the Shin Bet, the IDF and Israel Police today, (Monday) a terrorist squad from the Hebron area that had produced about 100 explosive devices and planned to carry out attacks inspired by ISIS was apprehended.
The squad included four members of the same family from Tarkomia village: Murad Marktan, Hassin Marktan, Muhammed Marktan and Ahmad Marktan.
The Shin Bet's investigation revealed that the squad planned to carry out bombing attacks against IDF forces in the Hebron area, and had produced about 100 explosive charges using online training videos. They had also received training from ISIS members abroad, with whom one of the leaders of the group, Murad Marktan, had been in touch.
The investigation also revealed that the terrorists were in possession of M16 and Carlo-type weapons, which they planned to use for further attacks.
All the explosives were detonated in the field by bomb experts. Serious indictments were filed against members of the group in Judea's military court.
