Report: Biden has not talked to Netanyahu since aid truck stampede killed 100

Netanyahu's office has dismissed the report as "Fake News," saying Biden has not requested to speak to the Prime Minister.

Israel National News quoted a Sky News Arabic report claiming that US President Biden has refused to speak to his Israeli counterpart since last Thursday's stampede in Gaza, which ended up killing more than 100 people.

During the incident, dozens of onlookers were killed after a stampede broke out as humanitarian aid trucks were delivering food and supplies to Gaza. IDF soldiers on the scene reported feeling threatened by the crowd and fired in return.

The IDF stated that 10 people were struck by fire from the troops, while the rest of the casualties came as a result of civilians being trampled and run over by the trucks.

"What contributed to the widening of the gap between the two is Netanyahu's failure to stand by his promise to Biden to keep the aid crossings open," a source told Sky News Arabic.

Netanyahu's office dismissed the report as "Fake News," and stressed that: "The Prime Minister's Office did not request to speak with the President after the event, and the Americans, who regardless had not blamed Israel for the event, did not request a conversation with the Prime Minister."

The relationship between the two has seen its share of ups and downs in recent months mainly in light of the fact that Netanyahu has repeatedly blocked attempts to discuss the establishment of a Palestinian state following the war in Gaza, and a lack of agreement regarding increased humanitarian aid to the Strip.
