State Camp party chairman and Minister, Benny Gantz, responded this evening to Defense Minister Yoav Gallant’s statement regarding the need for a draft law including Charedim. Gantz said that “all parts of Israeli society need to take part in the right to serve.”

According to Gantz, “this need is a security, national, and social need. We will work together with Defense Minister Gallant, with all the factions of the house, and all parts of Israeli society to advance an Israeli service plan based on broad agreement and as soon as possible.”

Opposition leader Yair Lapid also responded to Gallant: “Mister Defense Minister, the Yesh Atid draft proposal will be placed on the Knesset table next week: egalitarian, efficient, fair. All the Likud needs to do is behave like a Zionist party and vote for it. We can’t win together if we don’t draft together.”
