Close to Disaster in Jerusalem: Two Children Suffering Burns after Setting Fire to Acetone

Two boys injured, one of them moderately, after being burned as a result of lighting acetone while they were at an educational institution in Jerusalem. The two were evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

MDA reported this morning (Thursday) that 2 children were burned to varying degrees of injury after apparently lighting acetone while they were at an educational institution in Jerusalem.

Medics and paramedics who arrived at the scene provided medical treatment to the injured, including a 13-year-old boy who was moderately injured suffering from burns on his lower body, the other involved person was slightly injured. Both were evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

The police stated that a preliminary investigation indicates that it was probably a flare-up caused by playing with a chemical substance (acetone), and as a result, the boys caught fire.
