Surrender Numbers: More than 500 Terrorists Surrendered in the Gaza Strip

More than 500 terrorist operatives from the terrorist organizations Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad were arrested by the IDF and Shin Bet forces last month and were taken for further investigation by Unit 504 in the Intelligence and Shin Bet Division.

Israel at war the 65th day. After the photos of hundreds of Palestinians surrendering, today (Monday) the IDF publishes the data according to which, since the end of the ceasefire, IDF fighters in cooperation with the Shin Bet arrested about 140 Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad activists throughout the Gaza Strip.

The activists were detained during battles in recent days by IDF fighters, some of them voluntarily surrendered and were taken with the field investigators of Unit 504 in the Intelligence Division and Shin Bet coordinators for further investigation.

In total, in the last month, IDF and Shin Bet fighters arrested more than 350 operatives of the terrorist organization Hamas. In addition to them, more than 120 operatives of the terrorist organization Palestinian Islamic Jihad were arrested. In total, more than 500 operatives of the terrorist organizations were arrested throughout the Gaza Strip that were taken for further investigation in Israeli territory.

Some of the terrorist operators were caught hiding in civilian buildings, schools and shelters. The investigations yield intelligence that helps the security of the fighting forces and the detection of terrorists and other operatives of terrorist organizations.
