Two IDF divisions are conducting fierce battles for the two eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City – Jebaliya and Shejaiya. Since the fighting was renewed in Gaza, Air Force planes conducted two intensive strikes including dozens of planes. The attacks including many terror targets including operational infrastructures and anti-tank missile launch positions, in order to prepare the ground for the forces maneuvering on the ground.
The Southern Command Commander stated that “We are in the heart of Jebaliya, in the heart of Shejaiya, and from tonight also in the heart of Khan Yunis. We are in the most intensive day since the beginning of the maneuver – in terms of dead terrorists, the number of encounters, and the use of firepower from land and air. We intend to continue to attack and deepen the achievement.”
The fight in the terror bastions of Jebaliya and Shejaiya is led by the 162nd and 36th divisions.

Forces of the 36th Division have raided the Shejaiya area. The soldiers opened the offensive in order to destroy the terrorists in the area, locate and destroy rockets and anti-tank missiles, and damage underground infrastructures. The aim is to significantly damage the enemy’s abilities and allow the continued advancement of IDF forces in the Strip.
During the last day, forces of the 162nd division have been attacking Hamas bastions in the heart of Jebaliya and destroyed many terror infrastructures in the area. The forces raided and secured control of central terror bastions in the area, while eliminating terrorists in operational encounters. The forces also located weapons and terror infrastructures, some of them in civilian structures, including schools.
IDF Moving South to Khan Yunis
From tonight, IDF forces in the IDF will be operating in the Khan Yunis area. During the last few days, infantry, armored, engineering, and Air Forces have fought together against terrorists and eliminated many of them. IDF soldiers also destroyed weapons and terrorist infrastructures, above and below ground.
