The chairman of Yisrael Beiteinu, MK Avigdor Lieberman announced this morning (Friday) that the Oslo Accords are no longer meaningful and suggested that Jordan will accept responsibility for the territories of the Palestinian Authority.

In a tweet on his X account, Lieberman wrote, "The Oslo experiment that lasted 30 years, in which we paid a high price in the human lives of thousands of Israelis who were murdered ("victims of peace") is over and done. The recent events have proven beyond any doubt that serial Holocaust deniers, and those who refused to condemn even in a single word the massacre on the seventh of October, are not capable and do not deserve to rule either the West Bank or the Gaza Strip."

Lieberman: The solution - Jordan's control over Area A

Lieberman referred to the conduct of the head of the Palestinian Authority and claimed that the responsibility for Area A should be transferred to the control of Jordan. "We must tell the truth, two states for two peoples, a Palestinian state, and the transfer of control of Gaza to Abu Mazen - those are all dangerous illusions that exacted a too heavy price from us."

According to him: "Those who want a sustainable solution and stability must understand that this is only possible if Jordan receives control and responsibility over Area A in the West Bank, and Egypt receives control and responsibility over the Gaza Strip. Indeed, they do not express any desire for this, but if we insist, and become strong and consistent on the subject, and we will use all our levers vis-a-vis the Egyptians and the Jordanians, including in Washington - this is not a fairy tale, and it is certainly much more realistic than two states for two peoples.
