Sinwar: "You are Safe"

Sinwar Met with the Abductees: "You are Safe Here"

One of the abductees who was released from Gaza told her family that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar met with the abductees in the first days of the war, and told them in Hebrew: "You are most protected here, nothing will happen to you."

Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar met with the abductees who were taken to the Gaza Strip and spoke to them in Hebrew - this is what News 12 commentator Amit Segal reported this evening (Monday). According to the report, one of the abductees released in recent days told her family about the incident, which happened in the first days of the war.

According to the report, Sinwar approached the abductees who were held in the tunnel, and said to them in unaccented Hebrew: "Hello, I am Yahya Sinwar. You are most protected here, nothing will happen to you." According to them, the leader of the terrorist organization wanted to find out the situation of the abductees.

It was also said that the story was told to the family, and verified by the officials who investigated the abductee after her release.

As a reminder, during his years in the Israeli prison Sinwar learned Hebrew, and he used to follow the news in Israel regularly. After his release in the Shalit deal, Sinwar returned to Gaza and headed the terrorist organization that planned the murderous massacre on October 7, in which 240 Israelis were kidnapped and 1,400 people were murdered.
