An Indictment Against an Arab Woman from Jerusalem for Inciting Terrorism

An indictment of incitement to terrorism was filed against the city's resident Halla Ganam, who, after her cousin was murdered by Hamas, claimed that Israel had killed him, and called for revenge.

Today (Monday), the State Attorney's Office submitted to the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court an indictment against Halla Ganam, a 25-year-old resident of the city, for inciting terrorism. At the same time, the prosecutor's office asked to arrest the accused until the end of the legal proceedings. The indictment was approved by the legal advisor to the government and the state attorney.

According to the indictment, filed through attorney Yishai Sigman from the Jerusalem District Attorney's Office (criminal), the defendant's cousin, Majhad Faroh, was murdered by Hamas terrorists in the Simchat Torah terrorist attack. When his body was identified at the end of October, a false rumor spread that his death was caused in the hands of Jews and not by Hamas.

Against this background, the accused actually incited terrorism by posting a status on her WhatsApp, consisting of two screenshots that appeared one after the other, which read, among other things: "This message is aimed at our brothers all over the country, what the occupation is doing reckless actions, killing people in our country in Palestine. It's something chilling, and the most recent thing we received was the killing of the martyr from Kfar Sa'ir."

Ganam continued: "The fact that I do not get tired and do not stop dedicating my children and my society to the homeland of Palestine, for what for the family of the martyr today after receiving confirmation of his identity proves the crime of the occupation and the settlers in committing a cruel crime against our people. That is why the 'slain Seir' Brigades informs and promises to the martyr's family that this heinous crime will not go away and that the settlers and the occupying forces will pay for it, that the enemy will know that if the 'battalions' promise they keep the promise. Your brothers, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Battalions, Seir Martyrs Battalions."

A few days later, the accused's brother, Mahmad Al-Frouch, carried out a terrorist attack near the "Shalem" police station in Jerusalem, in which he killed the late police officer Rose Lubin with a knife. Against this background, the accused incited terrorism again, when she published on WhatsApp a photo of her brother against the background of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the caption "New Moon" next to a broken red heart, and the caption: "The martyr Mahmad Amer Al-Farouh went to heaven after carrying out a heroic stabbing attack near the Flowers Gate in Jerusalem, which led to the injury of two of the occupation police who are in serious condition."
