47 days after she was abducted from the party in Re'im, last Thursday in Shoham they held a special prayer for the return of Mia Schem, a resident of the place. During the event, a Torah scroll was placed in Mia's home and the rabbi of Shoham and chairman of the Tzohar rabbinic organization, Rabbi David Stav, granted the request of the abductee's mother and held a special prayer for her.

The special event is part of a project of citizens who organize events to bring a Torah scroll into the homes of families of abductees. The special evening was attended by hundreds of residents of the council, religious and secular, young people, children and adults who all prayed for Mia's return home, along with all the abductees who are held captive by Hamas.

Rabbi Stav: "We have become one family"

Rabbi David Stav described the spirit of unity that arose in the face of the war. "These are complex days for the entire nation of Israel, and even more complex for the families of the abductees. If there is a bright spot in this period, it is that it seems that we have all become one family," he said.

According to him, "The cruel enemy thought that the debate in the nation had divided us, but he did not imagine that our unity is stronger than anything. I was moved to see a diverse crowd, sons and daughters of Shoham, who came to the special event, to say a prayer and to realize the phrase 'together we will win'. We all wish and pray for the return of all the abductees home."
