Residents of the Dizengoff neighborhood in Tel Aviv encountered a distinctly unusual sight this morning when they noticed a two-and-a-half-year-old toddler wandering alone on the street in rainy weather.
The residents called the police and Magan David Adom, and after a short time they arrived at the scene and took the toddler to the hospital for checkups.
MDA spokesman, Zachi Heller, said: "At 6:05 a.m., a report was received at MDA's 101 hotline in the Dan region, about a toddler wandering alone on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv. MDA medics and paramedics examined him and referred the two-year-old toddler to the hospital, In good condition."
MDA medics - Shani Ben Melech and Fadi Ganim - said: "We were rushed to an unusual incident, a two-and-a-half-year-old boy who was found by passers-by wandering alone on the sidewalk, we put him in the ambulance and checked him to make sure he wasn't suffering from frostbite, he talked to us , was interested in the ambulance and could not say where he lived, accompanied by a police officer, we evacuated him for further tests at the hospital when he is in good condition."
