IDF forces belonging to the 7th brigade battle group took over a military bastion of the Hamas terror organization in the north of the Gaza Strip. Anti-tank missiles and launchers were found, as well as a variety of weapons and intelligence material.
A fighter plane struck a squad of some 10 terrorists with the aid of soldiers in the Nachal brigade battle group who identified the squad and directed the strike. The soldiers later identified an anti-tank squad near them and directed another aircraft which struck the squad.
The IDF also attacked dozens of mortar launch positions.
Naval forces used precise munitions to strike terror targets including sites containing technological means.
In addition, the 36th Division fire team located a number of Hamas terrorists, which had holed up in a structure next to the al-Quds Hospital and from which they intended to attack IDF forces. The soldiers directed aircraft against them, and the strike led to significant secondary explosions attesting to the presence of a terrorist weapons cache in a civilian area.
