"Babies were not Slaughtered": The MK of Ra'am Denied the Atrocities

MK Iman Khatib-Yassin from the Ra'am faction in the Knesset was interviewed today on the Knesset Channel and denied some of the atrocities committed in the Gaza Strip: "They did not slaughter infants, and they did not rape women." The reactions on social media against her were not long in coming.

"They did not slaughter infants, at least from what was seen in the footage. And they did not rape women," said MK Iman Khatib-Yassin from Ra'am faction in an interview on the Knesset channel on Sunday in response to the events of October 7th.

Yassin added further, "One cannot ignore what happened before and what happened afterward."

I heard first hand

In a later part of the interview, she was asked if she watched the film that was screened for Knesset members, and she replied, "I cannot watch it; I heard about it from a firsthand source." As a reminder, Ra'am party was part of the Bennett government.

A few days ago, Kalman Liebskind published that members of the Ra'am party, who not long ago were officially part of the coalition, had been cooperating for years – with donations, assistance, meetings, and support – with at least five organizations that the State of Israel has defined as terrorist organizations, ones associated with Hamas, and providing it with support.

Moreover, several senior members of Hamas who have appeared in television channels around the world in the past month justifying the mass murder of our people in Be'eri, Nahal Oz, and Sderot and promising to continue and try to destroy us, were themselves recently involved in events and meetings with figures in Ra'am.

The online responses were not long in coming, and internet users began to criticize the Knesset member, with comments such as: "Just like Holocaust deniers - there is no difference between you," "Traitor, your place is in Gaza," and more.
