Due to fighting in the south and the general security situation, the Knesset Committee gave its approval today (Monday) that Knesset plenum meetings held on Tuesday would not be held for the next two weeks so long as the current situation in the rear continues.
The decision was adopted after Knesset Chairman Amir Ohana asked the Knesset Committee to do so as long as the current state of emergency is in force in the rear throughout the country.
It was also reported that the plenum can convene on Tuesday if legislation is brought to the Knesset regarding the security situation. According to the Knesset’s announcement, the request was approved for a period of two weeks, after which the Knesset Committee will decide whether to extent the decision. The vote in favor was 7 MKs with none against.
