When the residents of the settlement Mevo Dotan heard that the lone soldier, Johan Shish, who serves at the base adjacent to Mevo Dotan, is expected to marry his fiancée Sarah Farhi, however, due to the fighting, the wedding cannot take place as planned, they rushed to organize a wedding for him in the settlement.

Johan's family from France was especially delighted to attend the festive wedding in Mevo Dotan. The youth of the settlement, accompanied by the adults, organized the wedding from start to finish, from arranging the club in the settlement designated for the event to setting up the chuppah, the venue's decoration, and more. Johan's friends from his unit also joined the celebration, bringing joy to the groom and bride.

The bride, Sarah Farhi, excitedly said, "We have no words; we felt that this was a wedding of all of Israel. The way it was organized and hearing from people today gave us strength and light. It made us happy, and our joy belonged to all of Israel. May we only experience greater joys and witness nothing but happiness in the nation."

The groom, Johan Shish, also expressed his excitement and said, "Especially during this time, it was most important for us to get married because the terrorists came to us to kill people and destroy homes, and we chose life. We chose to build a home alongside the fight and the destruction of the enemy. This is the best response for the people of Israel."

Yossi Dagan, the head of the Samaria Regional Council, expressed, "It's moving to see the residents of Mevo Dotan who organized a wedding for a soldier who is here alone and fighting for all of us. This is an initiative of mutual support and unity, which is so important in these days. The strength of Israel shines at its peak even in these challenging times. I wish Johan and Sarah a life of happiness together in Israel and perhaps even in Samaria."

The head of the Mevo Dotan settlement, Eitan Gorman, was moved by the tribute and said, "It's exciting to see our amazing youth who have volunteered and assisted in various ways since the beginning of the war, and today, they organized a very emotional wedding. We are fortunate that they are our children!"
