UNPRECEDENTED: Haredim flock to the cinema for this film

The surprising reason behind this unlikely event at Jerusalem's Cinema City.

Dozens of ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) people filled the movie theater at Cinema City Jerusalem last night (Wednesday) to see "Jewish Revenge 6 Gaza in the Focus" by mythological ultra-Orthodox creator Yehuda Grobeis.

This is a very unusual spectacle in the ultra-Orthodox landscape, since watching movies and especially visiting the cinema is not acceptable in most ultra-Orthodox communities. The movie the Haredi group watched was a film that is part of a series of ultra-Orthodox action films that were previously distributed on video discs and could be viewed on a home computer.

The creator from Bnei Brak and his house Dini released a new part of the mythological ultra-Orthodox series, a feature film about the events of October 7 - the first Haredi film to be shown commercially in cinemas in Israel.

The fact that a group of ultra-Orthodox people entered the cinema and watched the film indicates a serious change taking place within the ultra-Orthodox society in recent years. Apparently, the process is influenced by the development of digital media that allows viewing diverse content via the Internet, which led to the expansion of cultural exposure among the ultra-Orthodox as well.
