Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke Wednesday evening with US President Joe Biden; they were expected to discuss the eventual Israeli attack on Iran in response to last week's ballistic missile barrage. Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris also joined the conversation between Netanyahu and Biden.

It was reported this morning that Biden will try to moderate Israel's response to Iran's missile attack last week. Today's conversation comes after two months in which the two leaders did not speak, and since then there has been tension between them following disagreements over the conduct of the war.

About fifteen minutes before the start of the conversation with Biden, Netanyahu's office reported that last week former President Donald Trump called Prime Minister Netanyahu and congratulated him on the powerful blows inflicted on Hezbollah. It was also announced that Republican U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham was also part of the conversation.
