Last May, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt celebrated her 18th birthday. Having been estranged from her father for some time, Shiloh decided to file documents with the court requesting a legal name change to her mother's surname only. The final approval has now been granted. According to new documents obtained by TMZ, Shiloh has been granted court approval to remove the 'Pitt' from her full name, and it was reported that no formal hearing was held on the matter, as the petition was accepted without issues.
As mentioned, Shiloh is not the first child of the couple to distance herself from Pitt. Vivian, their 15-year-old daughter, also dropped Pitt’s surname when she appeared in the credits of a play she produced with Jolie. It appears that Zahara Marley, their adopted daughter, has also removed the actor’s surname.
As a reminder, the relationship between the Hollywood couple soured in 2016 when Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt due to "irreconcilable differences" and even accused him of physical abuse against her and one of their children during a joint flight.
