Detectives and special forces officers conducted a search at a warehouse that also served as storage for large quantities of drugs, including those hidden inside gummy bears and Oreo cookies. Additionally, the warehouse functioned as a drug production lab. Two suspects were arrested for drug possession and trafficking.

Detectives from the Crime Fighting Unit (Y.L.P) at the Petah Tikva police station, in collaboration with special forces officers from the Sharon region, carried out a targeted operation against drug possession and trafficking offenses last night. During the operation, the officers monitored two suspects near a warehouse in the city. Upon searching the location, it was discovered that it was used as both a lab for producing amphetamines and cannabis oil and as a storage facility for drugs before distribution.

During the search, the detectives and special forces officers seized approximately 40 bottles of cannabis oil, cookies containing drugs, around 500 gummy bears containing drugs, 840 test tubes containing cannabis oil, and about 1,900 cigarettes suspected of containing cannabis oil. They also seized hundreds of grams of material suspected to be hashish in various forms and hundreds of grams of material suspected to be crystal meth. Additionally, 26 kg of various drug components and thousands of shekels in cash were confiscated.

At the end of the operation, the police arrested two suspects in their 30s, residents of Bnei Brak and Ramat Gan. Following their interrogation, they were detained. Today, the police will request an extension of their detention at the court.
