Defense forces detected roughly 30 rockets fired from Lebanon into Israeli territory moments ago, setting off warning sirens across the Upper and Western Galilee. Multiple interceptions were seen in the sky as Israel's air defense systems engaged the incoming threats, while the remaining rockets landed in open areas.
During the attack, a 65-year-old woman was injured with minor neck wounds from shrapnel and another resident being treated for shock. Emergency services are on the scene.
Police report property damage from the impacts. Bomb disposal units and police forces are currently sweeping the impact zones, with first responders working to secure affected areas.
"Our teams are working around the clock," a police spokesperson said, adding that this is an ongoing security situation. Residents are urged to stay near protected spaces and follow Home Front Command instructions.
Local authorities have asked residents to maintain normal emergency routines and report any suspicious activity through the emergency hotlines.
