The office of Rabbi Yitzhak Batzri reported a heart-rending story. The six year old orphaned daughter of Odayah and Dolev Souisa ob”m appealed to the Rabbi during the shivah, asking: “Can you bless me so I can protect my three year old little sister?”

Yesterday (Sunday), Kabbalist Rabbi Yitzhak Batzri came to the home of Odayah and Dolev Souisa ob”m, who were murdered by Hamas while fleeing their home in Sderot.

Dolev’s mother described the horror story to Rabbi Batzri: “There was a red color (siren) in Sderot. The parents Dolev and Odayah were quick to take the girls and flee the city of Sderot north, when they got in the car, they were stopped by a police officer (who turned out later to be a terrorist), who shot the parents in front of their little girls, and continued to shoot in the street at other people.”

The grandmother continued to describe how a Bedouin tried to help the little girls but was also murdered: “A Bedouin nearby saw the girls in the car and decided to take it to the police station to get them to safety, but an ambush of dozens of terrorists near the police station lay in wait. The terrorists who saw him immediately shot at him and murdered him.”

At this stage of the story, the six year old granddaughter piped in: “I told my three year old little sister, let’s hide under the chairs, that they shouldn’t see us. We covered ourselves in a sheet and stayed there until Jewish police officers came, who took us out of the area. The police officer who got the car out was also murdered by the terrorists.”

The grandmother burst into tears upon hearing this description: “These little girls saw death before their eyes a few times, and now I’m letting them eat. The world is upside down, parents are burying their children and raising the grandchildren.”

The older daughter then appealed to Rabbi Batzri and asked “Can you bless me that I’ll be able to protect my little sister?” Rabbi Batzri blessed the girls, encouraged and consoled the family, and left the house in tears.
