Mohamed Hadid, a prominent real estate developer and father of models Gigi and Bella Hadid, has ramped up his strident antisemitic rhetoric.
In April, he targeted US Rep. Ritchie Torres with racist insults and accusations of being a "shill" for Israel and AIPAC. After issuing an empty apology for his language, Hadid continued to criticize Israel, accusing it of genocide and condemning Torres for supporting the Jewish state.
As reported on JPost, just last month (May), Hadid stirred further controversy by claiming on Instagram that Israeli Jews lack Levantine genetic ancestry, asserting they are not true Semites compared to Palestinians. He cited a purported John Hopkins genetic study alleging that 97.5% of Jews in Israel lack ancient Hebrew DNA, while 80% of Palestinians carry such DNA, implying Palestinians have stronger ancestral ties to the land.
"We are the Semitic people," Hadid asserted. "All these clowns are Eastern Europeans Zionists calling everyone antisemitic, when they are antisemitic against us."
In another social media post, he shared an image of the red triangle used in Hamas propaganda to denote targeting of a vehicle or person, declaring “you entered our land with the Balfour Declaration, and you will leave it with God’s promise.”
Hadid also alleged that US special forces were involved in what he described as a massacre of Palestinians during last week's hostage rescue operation in Nuseirat. He criticized the use of an American humanitarian pier, accusing it of facilitating further casualties among Palestinians.
"US special forces went to Palestine and killed 250 innocent people, used the pier that they claimed it’s for humanitarian reasons yet used it to kill more Palestinian [sic]," Hadid stated on Instagram. He also criticized US President Joe Biden, stating, "35,000 Palestinians killed is not enough. Now they have to disguise themselves as humanitarians coming to feed the hungry. Thank you, Biden. To hell you will go."
Hadid further asserted that the Israeli military relied heavily on American support, saying that Zionists are "cowards [with an] "army of children without a cause or training."
Hadid's remarks have sparked condemnation for perpetuating antisemitic stereotypes and promoting divisive narratives about genetic heritage and identity. His daughter Bella Hadid has also been involved in anti-Israel activism, participating in rallies and criticizing Israeli policies.
His disgraceful ceaseless anti-Israel commentary has no place in a world already anxious about heightened tensions in the middle east and desperate for lasting peace.
