Most of the Israeli hostages abducted on October 7 from southern Israel are no longer alive, as was reported today (Thursday) in the Wall Street Journal by American intelligence officials familiar with the situation in Gaza.

According to the report, apart from the abductees who were murdered by their Hamas captors, some of them died from medical problems and others as a result of sustaining injuries during the abduction and failing to receive proper medical treatment.

In the meantime, this morning it was allowed for publication that the 162nd Division began a targeted operation in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. During the night, fighter jets and other aircraft attacked dozens of terrorist infrastructures above and below ground in cooperation with the combat team of the 401st Nachal Brigade, and other units under the command of the 162nd Division.

The joint activity was carried out following precise intelligence information indicating the presence of terrorist infrastructures and numerous terrorists in the area.

During the operation, soldiers identified an armed terrorist coming out of a tunnel shaft near the forces and entering a military hideout. A fighter jet struck the terrorist while he moving towards the troops. Soldiers also located several rocket launchers.

During the night, naval forces carried out several attacks of the coastal area in central Gaza as assistance to soldiers operating in the area.

IDF forces have not operated in Nuseirat since the beginning of the war. It should be noted that parts of a Hamas battalion remain intact within the village. About a month ago, following intelligence information, senior Hamas leader Marwan Issa was killed in a targeted airstrike in an underground facility in the area.
