British Defense Minister Grant Shapps was interviewed on the networks and defended the Israeli action in Gaza, explaining that Israel "goes out of its way" to protect the lives of civilians in the Gaza Strip.
British Defense Minister Grant Shapps was interviewed by the British Sky News network and when he was asked about the Israeli response, and the fighting in the Gaza Strip, Shapps came out in defense of Israel in a way that is unambiguous.
The Defense Minister answered the interviewers' question and explained that: "Unlike the bombings of London or Dresden during World War II, Israel goes out of its way to warn the local population in advance that it intends to attack areas where terrorists are staying."
Shapps also announced that he supports Israel's right to self-defense, and that he admired the far-reaching measures Israel is taking in order to allow the immigration of non-combatants from the combat zone.
