Linda Yaccarino, the CEO of X Network (formerly Twitter), announced (Thursday) that the social network has removed hundreds of accounts associated with Hamas and has also deleted tens of thousands of tweets related to the conflict in Israel. This announcement comes in response to the demand from the European Union's Internal Market Commissioner, Thierry Breton, who called on the network's management to take action against the spread of fake news about the war on the internet.

"Every day, we remember our international responsibility to protect public discourse and ensure that everyone has access to real-time information while safeguarding user security," said Yaccarino. "Following Hamas's severe terror attacks against Israel, we've deployed special teams working around the clock to monitor the situation."

Furthermore, she stated, "Since the beginning of the attack on Israel, tens of thousands of posts have been removed from the platform. There is no place on X for terrorist organizations or extremist activists who promote violence, and we will continue to remove such accounts. We remain responsive to the requests of law enforcement agencies worldwide, including those from the European Union."

All terrorist accounts must be removed from X for then you're then an accessory to the fact if some terror act was perpetrated and posted on X
