In a dramatic turn of events at the Paris Olympics, Israeli judo champion Sagi Muki's quest for individual glory came to an end in the men's under-81kg weight class. Muki, a veteran of three Olympic Games, fell to South Korea's Lee Joon-hwan, the world's third-ranked judoka in the category.

Despite the setback in his individual campaign, Muki's Olympic journey isn't over yet. The Israeli athlete is expected to return to the tatami as part of Israel's mixed-team judo competition.
