Do you remember? A poem about Israel before October 7

Although the country was pulled in different directions over the judicial reform bill, Israel was a happier place to live before Hamas changed everything on October 7th.

Do you remember when

The night was for sleeping

And the skies were for flying

And music festivals were for dancing

And soldiers’ parents welcomed them back home?

Now -

Nights are for machine guns

Skies are for fighter jets

Musical festivals are massacres

And soldiers come back in a box
