During an Operation, 30 Soldiers Rescued an Elderly Gazan Couple

Thirty soldiers rescued an elderly Gazan couple last night during an operation, as revealed by journalist Avishai Grinzaig. The translator brought specifically for the occasion disclosed some slightly disturbing details about the case, shedding light on why they remained there.

During the IDF's recent operations, there have been several stories raising questions about the morality of the IDF—whether it is genuinely good or if it comes at the expense of other considerations.

Journalist Avishai Grinzaig uncovered a somewhat strange story and shared it on his Twitter account: "Completing the Khan Yunis operation, a story from the 4th Brigade: In the depth of Khan Yunis, the brigade entered one of the buildings. The entire building seemed empty, but to their astonishment, they found an elderly couple in one of the apartments.

They brought an Arabic-speaking investigator to interrogate them and explain what on earth they were doing there. They said everyone had fled and evacuated to protected places, but the family and neighbors left them to die alone. After a long time, the IDF managed to transfer them to the Red Cross to be taken to a safe area.

So far, a small story about the morality of Gaza residents toward their own people. By the way, until the arrival of the Red Cross, the soldiers let them watch reruns of Ophira and Berko (Ofira & Berkovic TV Series).

After the publication, one of the translators from the event confirmed the story, stating: "Hi Avishai, I was the translator on the mission to move the elderly couple to a safe place. 30 fighters under the command of the Southern Command just to evacuate them during the battle."
