During his meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today (Thursday) referred to the attack in Jerusalem, "It's the same Hamas".
"Nothing will stop us from eliminating Hamas"
According to Netanyahu, "This is the same Hamas that carried out the terrible massacre on October 7, the same Hamas that tries to murder us everywhere," he said. He also noted, "I told him: We swore, and I swore, to eliminate Hamas. Nothing will stop us."
In the end, the Prime Minister pledged to realize the goals of the war. "We will continue this war until we achieve the three goals - to release all our abductees, to eliminate Hamas completely, and to ensure that Gaza will never again face such a threat."
Earlier Blinken met with President Herzog and addressed the issue of the abductees. "From day one, we focused on trying to secure the release of the hostages from Gaza, from Hamas. And we saw during the last week the very positive developments of hostages coming home and being reunited with their families - and this should continue today as well."
According to him, "It also made it possible to increase the humanitarian aid that reaches innocent citizens in Gaza, who desperately need it. So this process is producing results. This is important and we hope that it will continue. At the same time, I look forward to in-depth talks with the Israeli government about the way forward in Gaza. The United States Strongly supports Israel and its right to defend itself, and to try to prevent events similar to the one that occurred on October 7"
