39 male and female prisoners were released tonight (between Saturday and Sunday) as part of the deal between Israel and Hamas, under which 13 Israeli citizens were released from captivity in the Gaza Strip. Among those released was the terrorist Asraa Jabes, who was sentenced to 11 years in prison in August 2016 after being convicted of setting fire to a gas cylinder and hitting a policeman who was slightly injured.

Jabes is also remembered as a prisoner who asked to undergo cosmetic nose surgery at the expense of the state, after she was injured in the gas balloon explosion - and was refused. Jabes returned to her home in Jabel Mukaber in East Jerusalem, as reported this morning in Ynet.

As you remember, the attack took place in October 2015, and Jabes confessed and was convicted as part of a plea deal for attempted sabotage with aggravated intent. In fact, along with the time she spent in custody, Jabes was supposed to be released till 2026 at the latest.

Another terrorist who was released is Mason Musa from Bethlehem, who in 2015 carried out a stabbing attack on a female soldier who was 20 years old at the time - who was seriously injured. Musa was sentenced to 15 years in prison, and in her Shin Bet interrogation, she said she came to the crossing to kill a soldier.

Along with them, the terrorist Noorhan Awad from the Qalandiya camp was also released. In 2015, Awad, then 16 years old, arrived near Mahaneh Yehudah Market together with her 14-year-old cousin Dil Vojia Awad, where they waved scissors towards security personnel, who shot at them.

During the attack, the terrorists stabbed Yusuf Alharob, a 70-year-old Palestinian who they thought was a Jew, and slightly wounded him. The owner of a nearby store, David Ashur (52), a resident of Har Adar, rushed to the scene and neutralized the terrorists using a chair. A Police Bomb Disposal Unit personnel who was driving his car nearby recognized the incident, got out of the vehicle, and called them to stop.

When they did not respond, he opened fire, killing Vojia and seriously wounding Noorhan. Another terrorist who was released is Shurok Duiyat Mazur in Ahar, she was arrested in 2015 after stabbing and slightly injuring an Israeli on HaGai Street in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Despite the injury to his upper body, the wounded man pulled out his weapon, shot Duiyat, and wounded her very severely. Despite her injury, Duiyat tried to run away, but the security forces who were there took control of her and neutralized her.

Another terrorist is Padwa Hamada from Tsur Baher. In 2017, she tried to carry out a stabbing attack at Sha'ar Shkhem and was arrested. She was later sentenced to 10 years in prison, but tonight, as mentioned, she was released.

A sixth terrorist who was released is Aisha Afghani from Silwan. Afghani was arrested in 2016 after attempting to carry out a stabbing attack in the Old City of Jerusalem. She was later sentenced to 15 years in prison.
