Israel at war, the 38th day. The IDF spokesman announced today that the female soldier seen in the Hamas video was killed and is considered an IDF martyr.
The IDF allows the publication of the death of Corporal Noa Marciano, 19 years old, from Modi'in, in a ground collection unit in the 414th Battalion, Border Guard Corps, an IDF martyr abducted by a terrorist organization.
This brings the number of IDF martyrs whose names were allowed to be published to 366.
Yesterday, the military wing of Hamas released a video with a recording of Marciano - speaking with her voice in Hebrew, as it were, on the fourth day of the kidnapping - October 11 (more than a month ago). In the video, the abductee speaks and reads messages dictated to her by Hamas to stop the bombings. At the end of the video, she is seen lying in a body bag, with severe signs of injury.
Now the IDF confirms that she was killed and that her body is being held by Hamas.
The media in Israel decided not to publish the video, and most of them did not refer to it until the announcement by the IDF spokesperson. In doing so, the terrorist organization lost its most effective tool - playing on the emotions of the Israeli public.
