Historic deal: the 'David's Sling' system was sold to Finland

The David's Sling missile interception system, that demonstrated high performance capabilities during the war, was sold in a huge deal of 1.3 billion shekels to Finland.

The Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Eyal Zamir, signed this morning (Sunday) the contract for the sale of the 'David's Sling' air defense system to Finland for approximately 1.3 billion NIS (approximately 317 million euros).

The signing ceremony at the Ministry of Defense was attended by the Ambassador of Finland in Israel, the Finnish military attache, the CEO of Rafael Yoav Har-Even, the head of the Ministry of Defense Dr. Danny Gold, the head of the 'Homa' directorate (IMDO) Moshe Patel, the head of the finance department at the Ministry of Defense CPA Dekel Cohen, and other senior officials.

David's Sling is one of the most advanced systems in the world for intercepting ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, aircraft and drones. The 'David's Sling' system has demonstrated very high performance capabilities in the war, in a variety of challenging scenarios.

The 'David's Sling' system is jointly developed by the 'Homa' directorate (IMDO) at the Ministry of Defense and the American Missile Defense Agency (MDA), led by the main developer - the Rafael Company.
