Today marks the fourth day of Operation "Iron Swords." IDF soldiers eliminated terrorists this evening (Tuesday) who had infiltrated from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory near Kibbutz Miflasim in the Gaza envelope.
There are still ongoing exchanges of fire and searches taking place in another location against another infiltrator. At this hour, the IDF continues its extensive operations in the Gaza Strip against terrorist organizations.
Earlier, an IDF spokesperson announced that during the night, two senior members of the Hamas organization's leadership were eliminated. The first was Jihad Abu Shamala, who served as the Minister of Economics for the Hamas terrorist organization. As part of his role, he managed the finances within the organization and allocated funds for the funding and directing of terrorism both inside and outside of the Gaza Strip.
Another senior figure who was eliminated is Zakaria Abu Mamar, one of the senior members of the political bureau of the Hamas terrorist organization, and the head of the National Relations Ministry within the political office of the Hamas organization in the Gaza Strip.
In his role, Abu Mamar was responsible for making decisions in the Gaza Strip, coordinating internal relations, and facilitating coordination among the various organizations in the Gaza Strip. Abu Mamar was known to be close to Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, and as part of his role, he worked extensively to incite and act against the sovereignty of the State of Israel, endangering its residents.
Additionally, as part of his role, he was a member of the senior forum within the organization, and thus, he was involved in the decision-making processes of the organization and the planning of various actions against the security of the State of Israel.
