The helicopter pilots of the Air Force executed over 180 operational sorties and evacuated over 180 wounded individuals.

The 'HaYas'ur' Squadron (118) and the 'HaYanshufim' Squadrons (123 and 124) have been engaged in the past two days in the task of evacuating the wounded, rescuing, and airlifting forces to carry out various missions, in cooperation with other security and rescue bodies.

From the heart of the Air Force, rescue teams conducted dozens of evacuation operations for hundreds of wounded individuals - civilians and soldiers, in complex combat conditions in Israeli territory. Under enemy fire, helicopters transported rescue forces to the settlements in the periphery to assist the residents of the area and combat the terrorists.

"We managed to evacuate a large amount of wounded"

From the words of a pilot in Squadron 118 and the former squadron commander, Lt. Col. A: "In parallel with the offensive effort in the Gaza Strip and the settlements in the periphery, we are faced with the mission of saving lives and assisting the fighting forces operating in the area - on land, at sea, and in the air. We understood the importance of the mission and the risk involved in its execution. Through full cooperation and quick action, we airlifted significant numbers of soldiers and teams to relevant points, loaded the forces onto the helicopters, and landed them at various locations. After the battle, we evacuated the wounded to hospitals."

From the words of the Rescue Desk Commander in the integrated unit, Major N: "We received the requirements and activated the helicopter squadrons, which are working very hard. The teamwork of the rescue units with the ground forces enabled us to evacuate a very large number of wounded at a very rapid pace. The emphasis is on evacuating the wounded as quickly as possible, in the best and safest way possible. Our focus is on our mission to assist the ground forces as much as possible."
