Due to the situation, Israel's Energy Minister, Israel Katz, signed an order (Saturday) instructing the electricity company to cease the supply of electricity to the Palestinian Authority in the Gaza Strip.

As reported, Hamas launched a sudden attack this morning (Saturday) in which they fired thousands of rockets from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory, while simultaneously hundreds of militants crossed the border and entered Israeli territory. According to reports so far, at least 100 people have been killed, and over 1,000 have been injured in communities in southern Israel.
There are also reports of captives taken to Gaza, alongside militants holding residents from several communities in the south, including Ofakim and Kibbutz Be'eri. The IDF has initiated Operation "Iron Swords" and targeted numerous Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip throughout the day.
According to estimates, over 3,000 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip towards Israel during the course of Saturday. These rockets include continuous barrages targeting communities in the Gaza envelope as well as widespread firing towards central and coastal communities. Throughout the morning, sirens were heard in communities in the Gush Dan area, including Tel Aviv, Holon, Bat Yam, and Rishon LeZion, as well as in Gush Etzion, Modi'in, and Jerusalem.
