The members of the Nobel Prize Committee today (Tuesday) awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics to Pierre Agostini from Ohio University in the USA, Anna Lehoniler from Lund University in Sweden, and Franz Krause from the University of Munich in Germany.
The three researchers won the prize following their contribution to the development of special methods for producing extremely short flashes of light, the prize will be divided equally between the three.

The Nobel Prize in Literature will be determined on Thursday, and on Friday the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize will be announced - which was awarded this year despite calls not to award the prize due to the war in Ukraine. The last prize, in the field of economics, will be announced next Monday.
