A shift like this doesn't happen every day: In the routine activity of the northern district police officers today (Sunday), near Yokneam, the officers saved a life when they noticed a bus standing in the middle of the traffic light and approached to check what the reason was.

While boarding the bus, they noticed a man in his 60s without consciousness. During the initial examination and a conversation with a representative from the Magen David Adom (MDA), the police officers identified that the man was in respiratory distress. Within a few seconds, it was determined in the field that he had no pulse. Urban patrol and the supervisory officer began performing CPR until the man's pulse returned, and emergency services arrived at the scene. They then evacuated him for further medical treatment, and he regained consciousness.

Sergeant Major Ronen Eliyahu said, "We approached a bus that was standing on the side of the road. The man was unconscious and did not respond to my calls. After a few moments, I realized that he had lost his pulse. I immediately performed rapid CPR under the guidance of MDA until I identified signs of life. It was a great privilege to save a life! We went home with a sense of duty and immense satisfaction."
