While tensions are still high following the disruptions during the Yom Kippur prayer on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv, and after opposition leader Yair Lapid and Shikma Bressler withdrew their support for the protesters, a new survey published this evening on Channel 13 News shows that the majority of the public opposes the protest against prayer and supports holding prayers with men and women separate.

According to the survey, when asked, "Do you think the protest during Yom Kippur prayer was justified or not?" 58% responded that it was not justified.

Only 26% responded that the protest was justified, while 16% answered that they don't know.

Another question asked in the survey was, "What is your opinion on separate prayers in public spaces?" 49% responded that they support separate prayers.

41% responded that they oppose separation, while 10% said they don't know.
