After the start of the Yom Kippur fast, left-wing protesters arrived at the annual prayer areas of Yom Kippur in the city of Tel Aviv and disrupted the prayer events. This happened after "barriers" made of Israeli flags were set up among the worshippers. The protesters approached the prayers taking place around HaBima and Kikar HaMedina areas, shouting "shame" towards the worshippers and disrupting the prayers with noise and shouts.

In the HaBima area, the protesters encircled the prayer event and disrupted the prayer from taking place by making noise with vuvuzelas and shouting "shame." In some places, the protesters even dismantled the makeshift barriers made of Israeli flags.

The protesters and others present also used their phones to take pictures of the worshippers during both the prayers and the disturbances, and they shouted derogatory comments towards them.
