Clashes and shooting: 8 wanted persons were arrested during the night in Judea and Samaria

IDF, Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), and Border Police forces operated overnight (between Wednesday and Thursday) to arrest eight wanted individuals in various locations in Judea and Samaria and in the Jordan Valley and the Valleys Division. During the operations, confrontations occurred between the forces and the suspects, with the suspects throwing stones, explosives, and firing towards the soldiers.

According to an IDF spokesperson's statement, four wanted individuals were arrested in the city of Shechem (Nablus) and in the villages of Beit Ummar and Husan. In the city of Hebron, the forces arrested another wanted individual and also located and seized an air rifle, ammunition, and a magazine. During the operation in the village of Sa'ir, suspects threw stones at the forces, who responded with crowd-dispersal means and rubber bullets, with reports of a hit.

It was also reported that during the operation in the village of Izaria, suspects threw stones and hurled an explosive device towards the forces, who responded with crowd-dispersal means. Similarly, in the village of Tubas, suspects threw an explosive device and fired towards the forces.

Meanwhile, in the Jilazon refugee camp, two wanted individuals were arrested by the soldiers. Disorderly conduct erupted at the scene, and the soldiers responded with gunfire into the air and rubber bullets. In the village of Beitunya, another wanted individual was arrested, and suspects threw stones at the forces, who responded with crowd-dispersal means. Also, during operations in the village of Aram, suspects threw stones at the forces, and the forces responded with crowd-dispersal means.

Additionally, a report was received last night of shots fired towards a military position near the village of Irtah in the Manashe Division. There were no casualties among the soldiers, and no damage was caused. After searches in the area, several bullet pods were found in the village's vicinity, and IDF forces initiated a pursuit of the suspects.

The IDF spokesperson reported that "the arrested suspects and the confiscated combat equipment have been transferred for further handling by the security forces, and there are no casualties among our forces."
