Netanyahu to Erdoğan: "Our ties are getting stronger"

The Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met in New York as part of the United Nations General Assembly. The two agreed to promote relations between the countries and upcoming visits to Israel and Turkey by the leaders

After their meeting was canceled about two months ago due to Netanyahu's hospitalization, tonight (between Tuesday and Wednesday), Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in New York as part of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting between the two, the Prime Minister noted that the relations between the countries are growing stronger, and it was also decided to continue and promote relations between the countries in the areas of trade, economy, and energy.

Additionally, the leaders discussed regional and international issues, including the normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia. Netanyahu also expressed gratitude to the Turkish President for the fruitful cooperation between their security organizations in thwarting terror cell intentions to harm Israeli tourists in Istanbul. They both agreed that official visits will take place soon in both Israel and Turkey.
