The Knesset convened today (Tuesday) for a special session in the auditorium due to renovations in the plenary hall. One of the topics discussed was the violence that has been raging in the Arab sector, which has led to 175 murders since the beginning of the year and the formation of the government.

The Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, attended the discussion on behalf of the government, and upon his rise to the speaker's podium to respond to allegations against the government's policies, most opposition Knesset members vacated the discussion hall.

Ben-Gvir responded to them, saying, "You don't care about the victims."

After a few minutes, MK Gideon Sa'ar (HaMachane HaMamlachti) and members of the Ra'am party also left the hall.

It should be noted that a similar practice was carried out with MK Meir Kahane, who was elected to the Knesset in 1984. Rabbi Kahane used to deliver speeches before an empty Knesset, as at that time some members of the right-wing Knesset also left the hall.
