After Noa Tishby was removed from her position as a special diplomatic envoy of the State of Israel, after she publicly spoke out against the government's policy as part of the legal reform, Minister Eli Cohen appointed two new special representatives.

One is the former member of the Knesset on behalf of the Blue and White party, Michal Cotler-Wunsh, who was appointed as a special envoy for the fight against anti-Semitism, the position from which Tishby was removed, and in addition, Fleur Hassan-Nahoum was also appointed as a special diplomatic envoy for innovation.

Foreign Minister Eli Cohen announced the appointment and praised the two new representatives in his words: "Foreign Minister Eli Cohen: "Today we are bringing in two players to strengthen Israeli diplomacy, with proven experience and abilities, who will act in front of different audiences and represent the State of Israel in the world. Michal Cotler-Wunsh, who was appointed as a special emissary for the fight against anti-Semitism, and Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, who was appointed as a special emissary for innovation, who joined Rabbi Leo Di, who was recently appointed as a special emissary for social initiatives, represent Israeli society faithfully, they are true leaders who volunteered to help the State of Israel and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."

The minister described their intended role and described how they will influence Israeli diplomacy: "Their purpose will be in coordination and close cooperation with the Foreign Ministry headquarters and our missions abroad and they will be a significant force multiplier on the most important stages around the world. The fields of the fight against anti-Semitism, social entrepreneurship and innovation."

Former member of the Knesset Michal Cotler-Wunsh addressed the appointment and the question of accepting the appointment as a former member of the Knesset from an opposing party and explained: "Anti-Semitism is a poisonous hatred that transcends differences in politics, religion, geography and time, and destroys the places where it spreads. In the face of growing anti-Semitism, politicization is a major factor that allows it to survive, to change shape and seep in."

"At a time of increasing polarization, an intersection between global and local challenges, and increasingly blurred boundaries, including between hate on the net and violence in the streets, I accept the appointment as a special mission to fight anti-Semitism with a great sense of responsibility. As a representative, I will continue to serve the State of Israel, the Jewish people, and fundamental values of life and freedom for all, in order to identify and fight anti-Semitism in all its forms in a comprehensive and comprehensive manner."
