The crime in the Arab society: a 30-year-old woman was shot to death today (Monday) in a shooting incident that took place in Rahat, when it is suspected that her husband murdered her - and then shot himself.

MDA medics and paramedics who were called to the scene found the woman without signs of life and pronounced her dead on the spot. Later, the teams evacuated the 35-year-old husband to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva, where his condition is moderate.

MDA paramedic Eden Sabag and MDA emergency medicine medic Imad Nasasara said "We arrived at the apartment and saw a woman in her 30s, unconscious and with a penetrating injury to her body. We performed medical tests on her, she had no signs of life and we had to pronounce her dead on the spot."

Following the current event, the death toll in Arab society rose to 174 people from the beginning of 2023, when in the corresponding period of the previous year there were 77 victims. This is the 10th woman murdered in the Arab society this year, compared to 164 men.
