The Ministry of Education published the "national educational picture", a compilation of the national education data and the budgets invested in education in the upper divisions of 2022.

The Ministry of Education published the national education data for the new year and presented the changes and their results on the students in the schools, first the Ministry of Education voted to reduce the educational gaps between students from a weak socio-economic background and students from a strong socio-economic background, according to the Ministry's data: the gap in the eligibility rate stands at 12.3%, when four years earlier the difference was 22%.

In addition, signs of reduction were also seen in the Arab sector, where the gap between the students of the Jewish sector and the students of the Arab sector in the eligibility rate for matriculation stands at 1.6%. When four years earlier the gap was 9.2%.

The gaps between boys and girls have also narrowed with a difference of 0.5 percent in the rate of eligibility for matriculation in 2022 between boys and girls, compared to a gap of 4.6% about four years ago.

The ministry also emphasized the budgetary additions that were made available to the students of the Arab sector, when the investment per student in the Arab sector increased from an average of 13,763 NIS per student in 2012 to 20,102 NIS in 2022.

The Minister of Education, Yoav Kisch spoke about the Ministry of Education's data and the narrowing of the gaps between students from different sectors and said that: "I welcome the narrowing of the social and economic gaps in the matriculation eligibility rate between students from a weak social economic background and students from a strong social economic background. I intend to continue reducing the social and economic gaps in education , and to increase the equality of opportunities for students from all population groups and from all parts of the country. I believe that our main role is to ensure to each student that the social and economic background from which they came will not dictate in advance the course of their lives, and will not be an obstacle for them in the future."
