The visit took place as part of a fruitful collaboration between the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and the Rabbinate Corps for many years. The head of the Halacha branch Lt. Col. Rabbi Udi Schwartz summed up the visit by saying: "It is a great privilege for us to host the 'Rishon Lezion' and the Chief Rabbi of Israel. During the visit, we had the privilege of reflecting the many activities of the military rabbinate and at the same time, discussing and clarifying important and principled halachic issues. The connection between the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and the military rabbinate is a solid and deep connection that allows all of us to add to and grow in the Torah and make it great"
