In a road accident that occurred yesterday (Sunday) in Antalya, Turkey, 17 people were injured, including 7 Israelis. The accident happened between a jeep and a private car when the safari vehicle, in which the tourists were traveling, crossed into the opposite lane due to a collision with the barrier. As a result of the collision, 3 tourists were killed: a Russian tourist, a 2-year-old toddler, and another tourist from Kazakhstan.
To the hospitals where the seven injured Israelis are hospitalized, Danny Kushilevitz, the Israeli Consul in Ankara, arrived along with the department for Israelis abroad.
A similar incident occurred at the end of August this year when at least 12 people were killed and 19 others were injured in a road accident that happened near the city of Yozgat in Turkey. This occurred after a bus veered off the road and into an embankment. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals, and one of them was described as being in critical condition.
